Charities are vetted in the following manner:

IRS Data-base extract is processed to provide:
- Active 501c3’s;
- Selected NTEEs for Education, Health, Food, Lodging, +
- Sorted by city/zip for assignment

Queried to provide ‘in person’ evaluations as well as performance standards:
- Less than 20% management overhead
- Fundraisers that MAKE, not lose, money
- People on duty to serve needs.
- Presence of 1023 for public viewing*
- Inclusion of EIN/TIN on web/other donation sites. *

Included in Adopt-A-Charity, as needed/appropriate.
Selection based on alignment with specific charity goals (e.g., Education, Health, Emergency Relief, etc.)
Charities that demonstrate a commitment to transparency, responsible management, and positive impact in their communities are prioritized.
