Each year, a number of bibles are purchased, in bulk, to be provided to those people/organizations who request them. While the bible, itself, is a gift….. the bigger gift is the preparation and presentation created by the families who prepare them.
Bookmarks are braided in red, white and green ribbon and a ‘nativity’ charm placed at the bottom.
Bookmarks are then placed at the Nativity story , Luke: 2
Inscriptions are written in the front of the bible
Bibles are then wrapped in white butcher paper, decorated with holiday scenes by the children
Now, every person who participated has ‘gifted’ to those for whom that bible is uplifting.
