Charities are vetted in the following manner:

1. IRS Data-base extract is processed to provide:
   1. Active 501c3’s;
   2. Selected NTEEs for Education, Health, Food, Lodging, +
   3. Sorted by city/zip for assignment
2.  Queried to provide ‘in person’ evaluations as well as performance standards:
   1. Less than 20% management overhead
   2. Fundraisers that MAKE, not lose, money
   3. People on duty to serve needs.
   4. Presence of 1023 for public viewing*
   5. Inclusion of EIN/TIN on web/other donation sites. *
3. Included in Adopt-A-Charity, as needed/appropriate.
