Inappropriate use of social media can create significant problems for an organization, formal or informal. An offensive or unlawful online posting may do more than simply embarrass a nonprofit organization. It can erode public trust, damage funding prospects, and, in certain circumstances, may even result in legal liability for the organization and/or author.
Benefitall social media will be monitored to remove inappropriate online messages and implores all posters to avoid potentially unkind, inaccurate or otherwise inappropriate messages. Refer to and forward information from the website www.benefitall.org or its blog to reduce potential errors or mis-statements. In general: Use Good judgment in all online activities; Respect the privacy rights of others in your posts and comments; Identify yourself and opinions , personally, not as part of theBenefitall; Avoid posts which may be considered obscene, threatening, defamatory, libelous, harassing or embarrassing to others; Anyone may reject a ‘friend’ request without repercussion. Failure to comply with this or any BenefitAll policies may lead to exclusion from Benefitall .
